My Vision of Western Art
While it is true that art is a personal experience, for me this adage holds true in a very literal sense. My western and cowboy paintings/drawings capture moments out of my own life on the H-V Ranch in Arizona's White Mountains. For me there is nothing more enjoyable than depicting the intangible wholesomeness that ranch life, young children, good people, and wildlife naturally reflect. And while all of my artwork provokes emotion for me personally, I also hope to illuminate for others a way of life that is quickly disappearing -- a way of life that I believe holds some of the best things in life, or certainly at least some of the best things in my life. -- Kim
